The Police in Ondo State has recovered a stolen
vehicle loaded with goats, sheep and turkeys after
the driver abandoned it on sighting policemen on
patrol in the Itaogbolu area of the state.
The state command Police Public Relations Officer,
Wole Ogodo, said the police on patrol saw a private
Toyota vehicle with number plate, AP438AGB Delta,
at Itaogbolu on January 3, 2014.
He said, “As soon as the driver sighted the Ijuvehicle loaded with goats, sheep and turkeys after
the driver abandoned it on sighting policemen on
patrol in the Itaogbolu area of the state.

Divisional Police Patrol vehicle, he made a U-turn
and started driving towards Akure.
“He was given a hot chase, which must have made
him to later abandon his vehicle close to the Police
Secondary School along Akure Road.”
Ogodo noted that the vehicle was searched and 12
live goats, six live sheep, five live turkeys were
found in it.
He said, “Some people later came to the station and
identified five turkeys and a goat as theirs. Those
identified had been released to the owners.
“Efforts are ongoing to ensure that the suspect was
apprehended.”
